This is the DNA of Nintendo Switch, a fixed console that with a simple gesture can transform into a portable console, to bring fun with you at any time and anywhere, sharing it with friends and family. To do this, simply unhook the two Joy-Cons from the handle and insert them into the screen inside the dock. Once this simple operation has been carried out, you will find yourself with a portable console capable of playing games designed for a home console without any loss of quality.
Nintendo Switch offers a world of opportunities both in terms of gameplay and enjoyment of video games. There are 3 different ways in which you can enjoy the console.
TV mode: the classic game mode in front of the TV
Tabletop mode: the Nintendo Switch screen can be placed wherever you want, while the Joy-Cons are used individually detached from the console
Portable mode: by hooking the two Joy-Cons to the console screen, Nintendo Switch transforms into a real portable console capable of running games from a fixed console
Multiplayer and online services
With Nintendo Switch, staying connected with other players is easier than ever: up to 8 consoles can connect wirelessly to each other locally. Players can place the console anywhere thanks to its integrated stand, and then share the Joy-Cons to have fun together even away from the TV. The console will support multiplayer gaming via Wi-Fi. A new online subscription service will also be launched which will be free at launch. The service includes an app for smart devices, available in summer 2017, that will allow players to invite friends to play online, schedule play dates and chat while playing compatible games. The paid service will be available in autumn.
